Thanks for bearing with us at this difficult time. As the country begins to open up again with the easing of coronavirus restrictions, we wanted to let you know that we will be back – just not quite yet. Woking Planetarium closed its doors at the beginning of March. As a result, we had to cancel a month’s worth of public shows and 4 months of private bookings. This was a huge blow both for us and for those of you who were looking forward to visiting.
Unfortunately, although restrictions are slowly being lifted, we are still unable to open at this time. As much as we would love to start bringing high-quality shows to you again, the planetarium is a small venue. Therefore adequate social distancing measures are simply not possible. The health and safety of the community has to come first.
We are keeping a close eye on the government guidelines and will be sure to let you know when we will be back up and running again. In the meantime, keep visiting our website. It’s regularly updated with astronomy news, observing opportunities and sky notes to help you find your own way around the sky. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date.
Keep your eyes on the sky, stargazers! We’ll be back before you know it.
