How can I find the planetarium?
Woking Planetarium is part of The Winston Churchill School, situated in the Discovery Space. Visit our Contact page for the full address and directions to the building. Parking is available on site; please note this can get busy on Sports Centre fixture days.
What are your opening times?
The planetarium is open for public shows every week on Fridays at 7:30pm. We have a regular schedule of shows, and sometimes have shows at different times in the school holidays. Keep an eye on our What’s On page to find out what’s showing!
What kind of shows do you put on?
We have 4 types of show that we run on a monthly basis. The first is Film Club, which consists of a live night sky update from our presenter Chloe, and a showing of the selected film. Planet Explorer and Stellar Safari are both family-friendly live shows, and The Starlight Odyssey Sessions are 2 hour live shows including talks by guest presenter Laurence Anslow and a planetarium session with Chloe. Do I need to be an expert?
No! All of our shows can be enjoyed without any prior knowledge, though some shows cover more advanced topics than others.
How do I book tickets?

Can I bring my kids?
Here at Woking Planetarium we always welcome young, inquiring minds! We aim to make it easy for you to choose the right show for your family. Our Stellar Safari and Planet Explorer shows are billed at 4+, and The Starlight Odyssey Sessions are billed at 9+. Film Club and other shows may vary. All our shows have age ratings which you can find in the upper right corner of the show’s page. Just look for the red circle!
