Satellite Launches

  • 7th LARES 2 : ASI launch the LARES 2 satellite from Kourou, French Guiana. It will launch aboard an Arianespace Vega C rocket on its inaugural flight. Delayed from mid-2020 due to coronavirus outbreak. Delayed from December 2020, early 2021, April, May and June 2022.
  • 8th Starlink 3-1 : Another batch of Starlink internet satellites launches aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from the Vandenburg Space Force Base, California. Watch it live.
  • 31st SBIRS GEO 6 : The U.S. Space Force launch the 6th Space Based Infrared System Geosynchronous satellite (SBIRS GEO 6) from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. It will launch aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 rocket. Delayed from June 18th.
  • Undated BlackSky Global : India’s Small Satellite Launch Vehicles (SSLV)’s first commercial mission will launch 4 Earth observation satellites for BlackSky Global from the Satish Dhawan Space Center, Sriharikota, India. Delayed from November 2019, early 2020, early 2021 and July.
  • Undated TROPICS 3 & 4 : The Time-Resolved Observations of Precipitation structure and storm Intensity with a Constellation of Smallsats (TROPICS) mission launches its second pair of small CubeSats aboard a small satellite launch vehicle from Astra. They will launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. Delayed from April and June.

Launches to Space Stations

  • (No earlier than) 11th SpaceX CRS 25 : The 5th cargo resupply mission of a Dragon 2 spacecraft to the International Space Station will take place, launching from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. It will launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and is the 25th SpaceX led mission under their Commercial Resupply Services contract with NASA. Delayed from June 9th, 10th, 12th and 28th.   • Undated Wentian : The Wentian laboratory module is launched aboard a Chinese Long March rocket from Wenchang, China. This is the 2nd major element of China’s space station.

Test Flights

  • Undated Multi-payload : The second test flight of a Firefly Alpha rocket carries a rideshare payload of multiple unspecified small satellites from the Vandenburg Space Force Base, California. Delayed from May.
  • Undated Orbital Test Flight : The first orbital test flight of a SpaceX Super Heavy and Starship launch vehicle will launch from Starbase, Boca Chica Beach, Texas. Delayed from early 2022. Watch it live.
