How is normal operation affected by Covid-19?

Unfortunately, Woking Planetarium is a very small venue, so we are currently unable to open in a Covid-secure manner. All cancelled shows have been put on hold, and we will be updating customers as soon as anything changes on social media, via our newsletter and here on the website. Take a look at our latest update for more information.

What are your opening times?

The planetarium is open for public shows once a week on Fridays at 7pm. The shows change regularly, and we sometimes have shows at different times in the school holidays. Keep an eye on our What’s On page to find out what’s showing!

What kind of shows do you put on?

We have 3 main types of show. The first is our full dome films, which are constantly changing. This show consists of a night sky update as a live presentation, and a showing of the selected film. We also put on our monthly shows, Stellar Safari and The Starlight Odyssey Sessions. Visit their individual pages for more information.

Do I need to be an expert?

No! All of our shows can be enjoyed without any prior knowledge, though some shows cover more advanced topics than others.

How do I book tickets?

Visit our What’s On page to find links to all our shows. Just click on the ‘Buy tickets here’ button once you’re there! Alternatively, you can view all our shows on our ticketing website, Positickets.

How do I hire the planetarium?

Simply visit our Contact Us page and get in touch! We’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Can I bring my kids?

Here at Woking Planetarium we always welcome young, inquiring minds! We aim to make it easy for you to choose the right show for your family. Our Stellar Safari shows are billed at 4+, and The Starlight Odyssey Sessions are billed at 9+. Full dome films and other shows may vary. All our shows have age ratings which you can find in the upper right corner of the show’s page. Just look for the red circle!

Got more questions?

Visit our Contact Us page and get in touch! We will aim to answer your questions as much as we can.
